A fireplace broke out within the Banki forest space in Rajasthan’s Udaipur district and Military helicopters had been pressed into service to douse the flames, an official mentioned on Friday.

The hearth broke out on Wednesday and it unfold to a big space in three-four spots of the forest adjoining Udaipur metropolis on Thursday night time, Chief Conservator of Forests RK Singh mentioned.

In complete, round 50 hectares of the forest space had been lined by the hearth, he added.

Mr Singh mentioned Military helicopters had been roped in and the blaze was introduced underneath management.

He mentioned the forest division will keep a vigil to forestall a recent incident of fireplace within the space.
