A vendor who was overwhelmed up by an e-rickshaw driver and his two buddies after he demanded cash for the refreshment drinks he had bought them succumbed to his accidents on Friday, police mentioned.
Further Superintendent of Police (city-1) Nipun Agarwal mentioned the accused e-rickshaw driver had rushed the seller to hospital and spent Rs 18,000 on his therapy.
Gaurav Kashyap (28) used to promote ‘shikanji’ close to the Hindon River Metro Station on a cart. On Wednesday night, the three accused took three glasses of the drink from the seller and tried to stroll away with out paying for it, they mentioned.
Kashyap stopped them and demanded the cash which led to a quarrel because the trio returned the drink saying it tasted unhealthy. The three accused beat up the seller rendering him unconscious, ASP Nipun Agarwal mentioned.
He was rushed to a authorities hospital and later shifted to a personal facility. He died on Friday, the police officer mentioned.
A case has been registered towards the trio at Nandgram police station and the e-rickshaw driver has been arrested, Agarwal mentioned.
