A 49-year-old lady was critically injured after falling off a shifting native practice whereas trying to cease a person who snatched her cell phone, an official stated on Thursday.
The incident came about at Mahim railway station earlier this week and the girl, who’s a resident of Badlapur in Thane district, is battling for her life at a civic hospital, a senior official of the Authorities Railway Police (GRP) stated.
Priyanka Khadke, a clerk at a ration workplace at Santacruz, fell off the practice on Mahim station’s platform quantity 2, whereas making an attempt to cease Ramzan alias Yasinuddin Khan (28), who had snatched her cell phone and jumped off, he stated.
Ms Khadke sustained severe head accidents within the fall, whereas folks on the platform caught the accused on listening to screams and commotion of the passengers and handed him over to the police, the official stated.
The girl was taken to close by Sion Hospital, the place she is now present process remedy within the ICU unit, he stated, including that the police have recovered her stolen cell phone value Rs 15,000 from the accused, who has the prior legal information.
