The Delhi Police has acquired a grievance of forgery and impersonation of a Prime Minister’s Workplace (PMO) functionary and a probe is underway, Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana stated on Friday.
He shared screenshots of the alleged impersonation, which have gone viral on social media, after an Instagram story posted by a designer named Kunal Service provider.
The story reveals an e-mail dialog between Service provider and an unidentified individual, purporting to be Vivek Kumar, Non-public Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after the latter sought a desk be designed for the PMO.
In line with the screenshots, the impersonator, in his e-mail, wrote: “Pricey Mr Service provider, We’re happy to tell you that our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has recognized you and your design apply to design and construct a everlasting set up/ government desk for unique use by the Prime Minister. The desk will probably be positioned within the PMO and utilized by subsequent Prime Ministers to return.”
Declining the request, Service provider wrote: “Dr Mr Vivek Kumar, Further Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Thanks for contemplating me and my apply for such a prestigious venture. Sadly on account of my political and social views, I wish to respectfully decline this chance and want not be thought of as a contender for a similar. Had issues been completely different and will I’ve been in a position to do that venture, I might have preferred to name this desk ‘The Swaraj Desk’.”
