Probe Company Information Cash Laundering Case Towards Delhi Violence Accused



Jahangirpuri Violence: Investigation revealed the prime accused has some suspicious monetary dealings.

The Enforcement Directorate has registered a cash laundering case towards varied suspects of the current Jahangirpuri violence case together with prime accused Mohammed Ansar, officers stated on Saturday.

An Enforcement Case Info Report (ECIR), the ED’s equal of a police FIR, has been filed by the federal company underneath the felony sections of the Prevention of Cash Laundering Act (PMLA).

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana had not too long ago written to the ED recommending a probe by the company. He cited preliminary findings made by his officers within the case and the First Info Reviews (FIRs) filed by them.

The ED case stems from these police complaints, the officers stated.

Clashes broke out between two communities throughout a Hanuman Jayanti procession in northwest Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on April 16, leaving eight police personnel and a neighborhood resident injured. Ansar (35), a resident of B-Block of Jahangirpuri, is alleged to be the “principal conspirator” behind the violence, the police stated.

The ED is predicted to query all of the accused and probe their monetary dealings.
