Flamboyant wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been launched abruptly from the Indian ODI squad for the three-match sequence towards Bangladesh, the BCCI stated on Sunday.
Pant was launched following session with the BCCI medical staff and no substitute has been sought.
“In session with the BCCI Medical Crew, Rishabh Pant has been launched from the ODI squad. He’ll be part of the staff forward of the Take a look at sequence. No substitute has been sought,” the BCCI stated in a media launch.
Left-arm spinning all-rounder Axar Patel was not out there for choice for the primary ODI. In line with sources, Axar is nursing a bruised rib after taking successful whereas batting on the nets. Although no particular purpose was said for the 25-year-old Pant’s launch, he has been the one first staff all-format participant to haven’t acquired a break after the T20 World Cup in Australia final month.
Whereas the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been rested after India’s semifinal defeat to England within the T20 showpiece, Pant flew with the staff to New Zealand for a composite six-match restricted overs sequence.
In Bangladesh, India are slated to play two Checks after the three ODIs.
